Hit-and-Run Victim’s Uncle Pleads to El Pasoans For Help
On Friday, September 7th, a 13-year-old was hit by a truck at the intersection of Montoya Drive and Redd Road. According to KVIA, the incident happened after 4 p.m. and involved a vehicle described as a "dark-colored or silver colored pickup truck," which fled the scene. On Sunday morning, the victim's family confirmed she had passed away from her injuries.
Over the weekend, the teen's Uncle, Uriel Delgado posted a video on Facebook pleading with El Pasoans for help to find the driver responsible for the death of his niece. This story is bringing El Pasoans together to find justice for the family, as you can tell in social media comments and shared posts featuring this video.
Just last night Uriel again spoke to the El Paso Community asking for help, after sharing the news of his niece's passing.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for the services of the teen, which the description of the page set up by GabrieLa LaMorena reads:
My 13 yr old got hit by a careless and coward driver who didnt stop to render aid to my beautiful little girl. She has now passed away. Everyone who knew her loved her dearly.
