El Paso Community Invited To First Ever “Mija, Yes You Can Get Your Mammogram” Event
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and one El Paso event is bringing the community together to celebrate survivors while reminding women to prioritize their breast health.
The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso, Mija, Yes You Can, and Wild West 4x4 are teaming up for Mija, Yes You Can: Get Your Mammogram, a community breast cancer awareness event happening Saturday, October 3, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The event will be the first-ever event put together by three organizations and it aims to bring together breast cancer survivors, local businesses, vendors, families and El Paso’s 4x4 community for an afternoon centered around support, encouragement and awareness.

El Paso Breast Cancer Survivors Encouraged To Share Their Stories

Wild West 4x4 is also inviting local off-road enthusiasts to show up in pink, decorate their vehicles and help create a powerful visual display of community support.
Mija, Yes You Can will have their Mija pop-up available and will be selling Mija merchandise for guests to purchase. All funds raised from merchandise sales will help the organization continue doing free events like this in the El Paso community.

Event organizers hope the event leaves women with one important reminder: Mija, yes you can, get your mammogram.
Women are encouraged to speak with their healthcare providers about appropriate breast cancer screening and when a mammogram is recommended for them.
