Your Ultimate Guide to El Paso Fall Events Is Here
So long Summer! Fall is officially making its way into the Borderland, and that can only mean one thing: pumpkin patches, festivals, spooky celebrations, and eventually plenty of holiday lights!
Although I will miss those Summer nights in El Paso, one thing I won’t miss is the heat! I am looking forward to cooler temperatures and not melting at outdoor events happening across the city.
Whether you're looking for fall activities, Halloween fun, cultural celebrations or the first taste of the holiday season, there are plenty of events happening around El Paso over the next few months and I’ve gathered a few of those events so you can put them in your calendar!
La Union Maze
September through November | La Union, New Mexico
Fall fun is already underway at La Union Maze, just a short drive from El Paso in Anthony, New Mexico.
The 13-acre maze offers plenty of family-friendly activities, including a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, cow trains, jumping pillows, slides, farm animals, pig races, rubber duck races and more. During October, visitors can also brave the haunted maze on Friday and Saturday nights.
Chalk the Block
October 3 & 4 | Downtown Arts District
Downtown El Paso will once again transform into one giant canvas during the 19th annual Chalk the Block.
The region's largest public arts festival will bring nearly 200 artists and more than 45,000 visitors together to celebrate creativity throughout the Downtown Arts District.
The family-friendly event features incredible chalk artwork, performances, interactive experiences and plenty to see and do throughout the weekend.
Fire Fest
October 17 | 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. | Veterans Park
The free, family-friendly event puts the El Paso Fire Department in the spotlight with live emergency response demonstrations and public health and safety activities.
It's a chance for families to meet local first responders while learning more about the work they do to keep the community safe.
TeenTober Fest
October 17 | 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. | Marquez Library, 610 N. Yarbrough
This is an event that is perfect for all teens! The El Paso Public Libraries are hosting TeenTober Fest, an event created specifically for teens in the 915.
Those who attend can expect music, games, food trucks and opportunities to connect with local organizations. Teens can also discover programs and opportunities that allow them to explore their talents and interests.
Brew at the Zoo
October 17 | 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. | El Paso Zoo | Paid Event | Ages 21+
Brew at the Zoo gives adults 21 and older a chance to enjoy a Halloween-themed night at the El Paso Zoo.
Guests can enjoy a selection of alcoholic beverages, food trucks and live music while getting the chance to experience select animal habitats after hours.
Día de los Muertos Festival
October 24 | 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. | Downtown Arts District & Mexican American Cultural Center
El Paso will celebrate Día de los Muertos with a full day of culture, art and tradition.
The festival will feature community altars, live performances, art, food and a parade, giving families and visitors an opportunity to celebrate and honor the lives of loved ones who have passed away.
Halloween on the Farm at Licon Dairy
October 24 | 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Licon Dairy
The 5th Annual Halloween on the Farm at Licon Dairy will bring families together for an afternoon filled with fall activities.
Guests can enjoy a vendor market, food, games, live entertainment, trick-or-treating and plenty more family-friendly fun.
It's a great option for families looking to celebrate Halloween without waiting until October 31.
Boo at the Zoo
October 31 | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. | El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens | Paid Event
Boo at the Zoo will give families a chance to celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating and other spooky activities throughout the zoo.
Kids can put on their costumes and enjoy a Halloween experience surrounded by the zoo's animal habitats. If you plan on heading out to the Zoo for this event, make sure to get there early because the line gets long!
WinterFest
November 21, 2026 – January 3, 2027 | Downtown El Paso
Once Halloween is over, El Paso will quickly transition into the holiday season.
WinterFest returns to Downtown El Paso on November 21, transforming downtown into a winter wonderland for more than six weeks.
Visitors can look forward to festive lights, the city's only lights parade, an outdoor ice rink, shopping, food and entertainment throughout the celebration.
WinterFest will continue through January 3, 2027, giving El Pasoans plenty of time to enjoy the holiday season downtown.
