Help EPISD Keep The Gene Roddenberry Planetarium In Operation
The Gene Roddenberry Planetarium has been part of the EPISD landscape since 1969, but it's going to take some doing to keep it up and running.
For generations of students and teachers, a field trip to the planetarium was a real treat. You got to watch the night sky, learn about astrological signs and their origins in mythology, and all free of charge. Now the planetarium needs help to relocate to the northeast part of town. EPISD has applied for a city grant and they need letters of support to show that there is community interest in keeping the doors to the planetarium open.
The El Paso Herald Post, has stepped up to help the planetarium by starting a letter writing campaign. Click on this link and it will take you to a form at the bottom of the page that you can submit your name and email to the City to show your support.
But you need to do this before February 15, so make sure you click on the link and help keep the Planetarium open!
