When I found out that Gwyneth Paltrow lives part of the week with her husband and part of the week he goes home to his own house, I had to give her some props.

I think the toughest part of being married is figuring out how to live with each other. Darren and I have totally different schedules so we tend to spend just a couple of hours together during the week. It's great! We get done what we need to get done, there is a decent amount of alone time, and on the weekend, we spend a lot of time together and we enjoy that time a lot.

I do, however, think that there are a few things that husbands and wives should do separately to keep their marriage a little less stressful:

1. Shower - Or rather, have separate bathrooms. With separate bathrooms, he doesn't use your cool Bath and Body Works stuff, and you don't have to deal with whatever he keeps in his bathroom.

2. Keep separate closets - I barely have enough room in my closet for my stuff, much less someone else's. Separate closets lets your shoes run free and your pretty clothes from getting squished by his, well, stuff.

3. Get your own DVR - I don't want to have to explain why all the Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey movies are on the DVR. That's no one's business but my own. And spare me from all the sports. *insert massive eyeroll here*
