If you love going to the El Paso Zoo but you want to save a few bucks on the price of admission, then you need to pray for triple digit temperatures this summer. The Zoo announced that when the temperatures go up, their admission prices will be going down.

Go to the Zoo's Facebook page and like it so you can see on your wall when the temperature jumps into the triple digits. When that happens, the Zoo will post that their Kool Discounts have kicked in. The discounts go like this:

$1.50 off general admission tickets when the temperature is between 100 - 105 degrees.
$3.00 off general admission tickets when the temperature is between 106 - 126 degrees.

I gotta admit, I'm not so sure that I would want to be wandering around outside at all if we hit 126 degrees, but there might be some among us who would be willing to do that. Make sure you save your admission receipt because you can take it to the Passport Cafe, the Grasslands Cafe, and the Beastro for a free small beverage with every receipt.

The Zoo is located at 4001 E. Paisano. You can call the Zoo for more information at
(915) 212-0-ZOO or (915) 212-0966. Click here for the Zoo website where you can get information about summer camps, special events, and even how you can rent out the Zoo for your next gathering.
