If you thought Phoenix, Arizona was hot before, just wait until you hear what kind of record they just broke!

The Valley of the Sun just shattered its own heat record with a mind-melting 77 days in a row of 100+ degree temperatures. Yup, Phoenix has officially surpassed its previous streak of 76 days set back in 1993.

Talk about making history…. But this is the kind of history a person probably doesn’t want to witness!

But wait, it gets hotter

According to The National Weather Service, temperatures in Phoenix are expected to soar between 105 and 107 degrees through Sunday. And while there’s a tiny chance for a thunderstorm early next week, residents shouldn't count on these storm chances to cool things down.

It’s not just Phoenix feeling the burn

The entire state of Arizona is sweating through its hottest June-July combo ever recorded. With more heat records falling and no end in sight, it’s safe to say Phoenix is officially on fire—figuratively, of course.

I was complaining about El Paso, Texas being above average and having triple digit heat this week, but now after reading about these hot temperatures, I think it’s safe to say that El Paso heat is NOTHING compared to what residents in Phoenix are dealing with!
