Free Mother’s Day Concert at Album Park to Feature Juan Gabriel Tribute, Mariachis

If your mom loves the music of Juan Gabriel and being serenaded by mariachis, plan on taking her to Album Park for Mother’s Day.

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will be honoring moms this Sunday, May 12, 2019, with a free Mother’s Day Concert at the park featuring Mariachi Alegre, and well-known Juan Gabriel tribute artist Hugo Cortes

Cortes, known professionally as "La J.G. de Juarez," has been impersonating and interpreting the late Mexican superstar and his music for over 25 years.

According to the event post, you can bring your own grill or hit up one of the numerous food trucks that will be on site. Add a cooler, some blankets and lawn chairs and laugh and dance the night away with family, friends and mom on her special day at Eastwood Park [a.k.a. Album Park] from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Alcohol or glass-bottled beverages, however, are not permitted.
