6 Best El Paso Parks To Have A Memorial Day Cook-Out
Anyone who likes to grill it up for Memorial Day, but hates the crowds, should head to these SIX parks instead.
Like any red-blooded American, I like a good cookout with steaks, hot dogs, and corn that I'll throw on the barbie like Bobby Flay.
And Memorial Day is a great excuse to take the family to one of El Paso's amazing parks to do just that.
But there's one MASSIVE problem.
And that's the flocks of people at every big park that people typically head to, like Memorial Park.
So below are six smaller parts that I think would be PERFECT for a Memorial Day cookout without the hassle of too many strangers.
1. Blackie Chesher Park
Sizable park featuring a playground, walking path & fields for soccer & baseball/softball. -Google
2. Mission Hill Park
Near UTEP, this little Park is tucked away, so I doubt that many people will be there.
3. Tom Lea Park (Lower)
At the bottom of the mountain that makes rim Road is the lower part which is small and cozy.
4. Tom Lea Park (Upper)
Small city park & events site known for its sweeping mountain & city views. -Google
5. Album Park
Also known as "Album Park," popular walking spot with sports facilities, a dog park & a skate park. -Google
6. Marty Robbins Park
Community park with a pool, sports fields, basketball courts, playground & restrooms. -Google
