The City of El Paso has increased testing for residents who are symptomatic or asymptomatic and are now able to get tested for COVID 19 for free through May 23, 2020.

El Paso Mayor Dee Margo along with the Office of Emergency Management has been working with the Office of the Texas Governor and the Texas Department of Emergency Management to bring more COVID 19 mobile testing teams to El Pasoans.

As of Saturday, May 9 – the Rapid Response Team arrived in El Paso and according to the City of El Paso is estimating that as of May 14th more than 15,700 tests have been performed within the county, of those near 1,000 tests were conducted by TMD-MTT during the initial three days of testing, which began testing on Monday, May 11, 2020.

El Pasoans who are showing symptoms (symptomatic) and those that are not (asymptomatic) are now able to get tested for the COVID 19 virus for free.

The drive-thru testing locations are available by appointment only and residents are asked to make an appointment 24 hours prior to the testing date either online at TXCOVIDTEST.ORG or by calling 512-883-2400.

Testing is free and available to members of the community with or without symptoms of COVID-19 and especially for those in high-risk groups.

Testing is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

The TMD-MTT supported sites will continue from, Friday, May 15 through Saturday, May 23, at the four City facilities due to the high demand.
