After landing at the El Paso Airport over the Labor Day weekend, Food Trucks on the Fly must be taking off (see what I did there?) because its run has been extended through the holidays.

Initially set to end September 27, the El Paso International Airport in partnership with the City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department will now be hosting Food Trucks on the Fly through January 3.

The eats on wheels roundup features some of the most popular Facebook-stalked food trucks in town for weekend evenings of socially distant al fresco dining of some of the best grub-on-the-go El Paso has to offer.

Each week’s featured food trucks will vary slightly and change weekly. Cuisine options will run the gamut from hamburgers to tacos to Asian fusion.

The weekly food event will take place in the south end of the Short-Term lot, which will be set up with a “socially distanced dining area” with access to the newly landscaped plaza walkway and walking paths. The food truck rally is a part of the “On the Fly” series the airport began over the summer with the drive-in style movie series "Movies on the Fly.”
