EPISD Changes Distribution Sites For Free Summer Meal Program

If you have kids in the El Paso Independent School District and you are wondering about their free Summer Meal Program, here are the updated sites where you can get their meals. The district consolidated their locations to cover the areas with more usage and participation.

Free breakfasts and lunches are available to any kids ages 1 to 18 years old. The meal distribution is done curbside and will run through July 23. All curbside meals are distributed between 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. On Fridays you can pick up meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday so your kiddos will have those meals for the weekend.

The best thing about this meal distribution program is that it is open to any kid in the age range, not just kids from EPISD. No child should go hungry so take advantage of this program. I had a co-worker once who said that she and her brother would have had very little to eat had it not been for a school meal program. Kids need nutrition and this is a good way to get it.

Your kids don't need to be with you when you pick up the meals but you will need one of the following documents for verification:

Official document from any school to demonstrate enrollment
Report card
Birth certificate
Student ID card

When you pick up meals for their kids at a specific campus you'll be given a verification card at the curbside and you'll need to present that when you pick up meals at that campus from then on.
