Art of Storytelling Episode 4 Honors Local Veterans
El Paso, TX is home to a community art event that continues to dazzle and inspire. The El Paso Art of Storytelling just had its 4th show and it was a tearjerker! Every month, the event premiers a new episode of its variety show that is always aimed at uplifting a new community.
For April, the show was a benefit honoring the veterans and the mental health struggles faced by so many members of the veteran community. On top of that, the show highlighted PTSD and the challenges of both veterans and civilians alike who face that daily battle.
Many speakers, some veterans and others artists, took to the Sunset Parlor stage and through the careful direction of many members, including the host and creator, Julian Morales.
Morales molds artists into something different. Alone they are powerful creators but together, Morales turns these artists into a vessel for speaking out pain and synthesizing hurt into beauty.
The show saw opera singers, guitarists, violinists and interpretive dancers take the stage alongside public speakers, poets, and storytellers as they raised awareness and money for the veteran community.
The next episode of The El Paso Art of Storytelling is taking place on May 18th, 2024 at The Sunset Parlor. Each episode is a new benefit and a new theme meant to shine a light on a different community in El Paso each month. Just by coming to the show, you are making an impact on a community that needs your help, but you also get to be a part of a growing spectacle and an incredible moment in El Paso history.
