We didn't get much of a winter this year, but that doesn't mean that winter can't rear its ugly head and this week, we are getting some colder temperatures to remind us that we are in the middle of winter.

On Wednesday you're going to need to bundle up your kiddos and yourself before you head out for the day's school and work. We could see temperatures in the mid 20s Tuesday overnight into Wednesday. On Wednesday temperatures will be a very chilly 30s and possibly may get to near 40 by the afternoon. We might get rain that could switch to what the weather peeps call a wintery mix around noon. By Thursday we'll still be breezy, but temps should warm up to the upper 50s.

From the El Paso Independent School District's official Facebook page:

"IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to potential icy conditions, the school and work day at all EPISD schools and facilities will start an hour after their normal time on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Please report to school or work an hour later than your normal reporting time."

The district says that means school buses will also be on an hour later start, so if your child's bus picks them up at 7:40 the bus will be there at 8:40. Morning pre-K has been canceled.
