Recycling is good for the Earth, but you might not know how or what to recycle. The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department wants to get area kids into the mix with a contest to how how to 'Recycle Right, El Paso'.

The contest is open to area high school students as well as area middle school students. They are being asked to submit a 30 second video public service announcement that shows the importance of recycling and how to recycle the right way.

It's free to enter the contest, and you have until Friday, March 3 to submit your video. The Environmental Services Department will award first, second and third place winners from middle school and high school student entries. All winners will be given trophies during a regular El Paso City Council this spring. The winning videos will be televised on City TV, the City’s government channel, and showcased on the City’s YouTube and other social media pages.

You can get a complete list of contest rules and requirements on the Recycle Right El Paso website.
