El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Teams Up With Animal Services for February Pet Food Distribution
For almost a year now El Pasoans struggling to put food on the table because of the pandemic have been able to count on El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank to help feed their families. But did you know EPFHFB is also there if you face the added challenge of keeping your house pet fed, too?
El Pasoans Fighting Hunger has teamed up with El Paso Animal Services to offer free pet food assistance once a month. This month, the two charitable organizations will distribute dry dog and cat food on Thursday, February 11, at the main food bank location at 9541 Plaza Circle.
One-gallon size Ziploc bags will be handed out from 8 a.m. until the supply is gone. To ensure fairness and that the pet food on hand goes to the greatest number of people possible, the limit is one bag per dog or cat per family
Because the location the pet food distribution will take place at is also a EPFH Primary Distribution Site of emergency food boxes, those picking up pet food are asked to wear a face covering of some kind for the safety of staff, volunteers and all involved.
