If you're a gardener, you know that there are watering schedules that change throughout the year. You can't just water whenever and for how long you want - you have to follow the seasonal watering schedule or else face fines.

During the spring and summer, you can water before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. on designated days.

There is no residential watering on Mondays.

If your address is even-numbered, you can only water on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays.

If your address is odd-numbered, you can only water on Wednesdays, Fridays or Sundays.

No matter what your address is, you can only water before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Sometime you'll see El Paso Water Utility trucks driving around neighborhoods. They will usually give you a warning first, but they can give you a ticket of up to $500 if you are found watering on days that don't correspond to your address or before and after the watering times.

If you want to report violations, you can call 915-594-5508 or visit epwu.org under the “conservation” tab.
