El Paso Musician Comes Home For Benefit Show
El Pasoan Tommy Mora moved to L. A. years ago, released his own music and landed gigs with peeps like Marc Anthony, Prince, Al Green and more!
Tommy is insanely talented, (On his 2010 release Keep On Movin', he plays ALL the instruments!) and he's come home to Rock The Red Kettle for the EP Salvation Army. Friday night at Tricky Falls, a $5.00 donation ... more if you want! ... gets you in to rock with Tommy, Chuco Soul Project, Wildflower and Vibes Arise.
I asked Tommy about the event and how it feels to rock El Chuco again, here's his answer:
This is the 1st year we are launching "Rock The Red Kettle" in El Paso, a concert held to raise money for The Salvation Army. It's very popular in other cities such as Austin so we are hoping to make this an annual tradition. Several El Paso bands have joined forces to perform and donate their talent. The lineup will be Wildflower, Vibes Arise, Tommy Mora and Chuco Soul Project.
As for myself "I haven't played in El Paso for over 2 years so I'm really excited to perform for my friends and family and at the same time donate my time for a good cause. Although I've been living in Los Angeles for close to 20 years now El Paso is where my home and my heart is and I feel it is important to give back to my community".
