El Paso Man Found with 10 Pounds of Cocaine in His Car
An El Paso man faces some pretty hefty drug smuggling charges after he allegedly tried to smuggle 10 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle traveling over a Mexico entrance.
Edgar Manuel Morales, 21, of El Paso was traveling in a Dodge Durango into the Paso Del Norte port of entry from Mexico around 3 p.m. this past Tuesday. Morales appeared nervous when the vehicle went through an x-ray device. After the x-ray, officials found five cocaine bundles in the engine compartment. The drugs had an estimated street value of $326,400. Morales was turned over to federal agents in connection with the smuggling attempt.
