The 2019 Girl Scout cookie season is here.

So long, New Year's resolution. The Girl Scouts want to fatten me up and I'm gonna let 'em. I'm never going to look as good as I did in my twenties ever again anyway.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 12 through March 10, the cookie mafia, er, I mean Girls Scouts of the Desert Southwest, will be going door-to-door -- or whatever it is kids today do -- hustling all of your favorite legendary cookies. Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel Delites ... the pre-teen cookie dealers got what you need at only $4 a box.

This year they're adding a new cookie to their line-up: the gluten free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie. "We've been begging for a healthier Girl Scout cookie for years," said no one ever.

The Girl Scouts describe the new addition as "rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie." They make it sound so yummy, huh? Alright, I'll try one. Gluten-free doesn't have to mean glutton-free, amirite?

A box of the non-gluten option will cost you a buck more ($5).
