The thought of COVID ruining this year's Girl Scout cookie season, too, was almost unbearable. But, good news, cookie lovers; any worries about not getting to indulge in Thin Mints and Samoas can be put to rest. The pandemic will not, I repeat, not keep us from our sweet treats.

If anything, Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest has more ways than ever to safely get you a box or three during these challenging times, including taking contact-free pickup and delivery orders through a new national collaboration with Grubhub.

The Cookies

This year’s cookie line-up consists of Thin Mints, Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, Tagalongs, Lemon-ups, Trefoils, S’mores, and the gluten free Toffee-tastic. Prices will remain at $4 a box, unless you want a box of the gluten-free option. Those will cost you a buck more

Grubhub cookie delivery and Direct Ship

The Grubhub delivery program begins February 1 in El Paso, Las Cruces, Midland, Odessa, and Roswell on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Girl Scouts themselves and their parents will be heavily involved in the behind-the-scenes processes to fulfill Grubhub orders. Cookie monsters can order at Grubhub.com or use the Grubhub app.

In addition to the new Grubhub delivery option, those "who don’t know a Girl Scout," or don’t live near a troop can get cookies shipped to their door. Just visit gsdsw.org and use the cookie finder app beginning Feb. 1. You can then purchase cookies to be shipped directly to you or donate cookies to the Gift of Caring program, which distributes them to Military Service Members, First Responders, and frontline workers.

Booth Sales

Booth Sales begin Monday, February 1 with restrictions and guidelines in place to protect everyone. This includes taking the temperature of all Girl Scouts and parents working a booth, masks and hand sanitizer use, and using cashless payment processes as much as possible. Drive-thru booths will be options in locations where that is possible, and virtual cookie booths over Zoom and Facetime will also be utilized.

The 2021 cookie season will run through Sunday, March 14. Put me down for one box ... said no one ever!
