El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Scaring Up Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat
Hey, kids, do you want to maximize costume time and increase your take home candy pay this spooky season? Have your mummy or daddy take you to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters on Friday.
Sheriff Wiles and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department will be scaring up some fiendish fun in the form of a drive-thru trunk-or-treat.
And the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department is getting all into it. They will be transforming the trunks of their squad cars into Halloween candy paradises and witching you a Happy Halloween while filling your bags and buckets with tasty treats.
Unlike traditional trick-or-treating where kids go door-to-door demanding you smell their feet and give them something good to eat, trick-or-treaters at this Halloween handout will remain in their vehicles and drive boo, I mean, drive through for their goodies.
They are doing it this way because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The drive-thru trunk-or-treat is an alternative to its traditional haunted house event and something the whole family can enjoy from the safety of their car.
But in order to load up on the sweet treats, car to car candy-jacking will be frowned upon. Sheriff Wiles requests everyone remain in their vehicle and keep their mask on the whole time.
