El Paso Children Learn to Care for Animals at Kid’s N Critters Camp
Teaching our children to be kind and responsible is a goal for all parents. The Humane Society of El Paso is bringing back a summer camp designed to do just that. Samantha Cortez, Kid's N Critters coordinator, said this summer camp presents an "opportunity for campers to make new friends, gain confidence within themselves and around animals, and leave with a better understanding of what it takes to be an Animal Ambassador". Kid's N Critters gives campers an inside look into the humane shelter. It also show campers the rewarding benefits of caring for animals.
Kid's N Critters Camp will include presentations from "The Wolf Lady", Nancy Bain, Barkerhaus Kennels, Mesa Veterinary Clinic, Compadres Therapy, and Laws N Paws. Kids and teens will learn how to interact with animals. Learning respect, compassion, teamwork, and how to provide a lifetime of care for all creatures.
