El Paso Chihuahuas To Host Triple A Baseball All-Star Game And Home Run Derby
The El Paso Chihuahuas will be hosting the Triple-A All Star Game and Home Run Derby this year. Minor league players from all over the league will be in El Paso on July 8, 9 and 10 for the game that is the traditional middle of the baseball season. The home run derby is the chance for players to show off their skills and wow fans with homerun after homerun.
This year, the title partner is the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The All-Star game Wednesday, July 10. Gates to the ballpark will open at 5:30 p.m. If you can't make it out to the game, you can watch it on the MLB Network. Chihuahuas All-Star broadcaster Tim Hagerty will call the game on KISS FM's sister station, 600 ESPN El Paso.
You can buy a Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game & Home Run Derby ticket package to get tickets to both events at Southwest University Park. The \Home Run Derby is Monday, July 8. The MiLB All-Star game started in 1988, and this year will showcase the best players of Triple-A Baseball's Pacific Coast (PCL) and International Leagues. Previous All-Star Games have seen players like current San Diego Padres Wil Myers and Ian Kinsler, as well as Derek Jeter, Chase Utley and Joc Pederson taking the field, so you could see some big names playing in the ballpark.
