EPBCX offers a variety of trainings taking place inside the Casa Nissan Entrepreneur Hall throughout the day. The four corners of the hall feature training stages featuring a variety of topics in the styles explained below.
Trend Talks Stage
This stage features Trend Talks. Trend Talks are a direct, concise presentation about a specific topic. No introduction needed, this type of presentation goes straight to the meat of a business trend. Speakers may use a visual aid like a PowerPoint presentation and/or a quick video clip. What’s trending? A Trend Talk speaker will tell you in a 20-minute session with a five-minute Q&A.
Workshops Stage
This stage features Workshops. Workshop presentations engage a group of people in an intensive conversation on a particular subject or project. Discussions about the effects of construction on the community, ‘Is the customer always right?’, efficient staff meetings. Audience interaction is key. A Workshop speaker snowballs business ideas amongst the group in a 25-minute session.
Demonstration Stage
This stage features Demonstrations. These presentations demonstrate to the audience how to do a specific business task. Learn how to use the Cloud, how to create a marketing plan, how to create an employee handbook. B-Y-O-Device. Workshop speakers and attendees interact with each other and their devices. Visual presentations are needed to show the step-by-step process to completing a task. A Demo speaker gives the ultimate ‘How To’ on a select method in a 25-minute session.
Training Stage
This stage features Trainings. Training presentations coach the audience on a particular set of skills needed in the business community. Sales training, how to hire someone, how to fire someone, public speaking, time management and more. Management bring their employees to this stage. A Training Stage speaker has mastered the art of a business technique and trains the audience in a 20-minute session with a 5-minute Q&A.
