Cookie Thief Steals Money From El Paso Girl Scout Troop
There is nothing sweeter than Girl Scout Cookie Time, but one Grinch stole the smiles from the faces of some El Paso Girl Scouts with a fake $100 bill. Get ready to yell, "What a jerk!"
The Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest were selling cookies on the west side when a customer bought a box of cookies for $3.50, paid with a $100 bill, and got $96.50 in change from the girl's previous cookie sales. The troop didn't know that the bill was counterfeit until they deposited the money from the cookies sales into their bank account. Bank officials told them the bill was fake, and confiscated the bill. So, not only did this horrible person get a box of delicious Girl Scout cookies, they made off with a lot of money that would have gone toward programs, supplies and trips for local scout troops. I hope that box of cookies makes you sick, you horrible Girl Scout cookie stealer.
