Cold War Kids the indie rock band from California will be headlining this year’s El Paso Forever Concert in downtown El Paso.

The 2nd annual El Paso Forever Concert featuring Cold War Kids will benefit the Because of You Fund which highlights life, music, and art.

The Because of You Fund and El Paso Forever Benefit Concert were both founded by local business owners Jim Ward and his wife Kristine. Jim Ward is also on the board of the El Paso Community Foundation and currently fronts the band Sparta.

This year the concert will benefit YOU ROCK! An inclusive girls’ music camp launching next summer in 2020.

The rock camp will expose the youth in our community to a week of workshops by learning to play an instrument, collaborate with others, and write music all leading up to a public performance.

Opening the show will include El Paso musicians, Emily Davis who is touring with Bad Religion, and Sleepspent.

The concert will be held in the Anthony Parking Lot, bordered by Anthony, San Francisco and Coldwell streets in Union Plaza with the entrance near the corner of Coldwell and San Francisco streets.

Tickets are on sale now with all proceeds benefitting YOU ROCK! and can be purchased for $25 in advance via Trickyfalls.com.

Cold War Kids recently released two new tunes including Complainer and 4th of July and will be featured on their upcoming new seventh studio album, New Age Norms, set to be released on November 1, 2019, with a headlining tour to follow.
