If you've ever had to get rid of used electronics, you know it can be a pain in the neck. You don't know if you can safely throw them in the trash because of the components, so your used electronics tend to pile up in a closet or in the garage.

If you have used electronics that you would like to get rid of, you can take them to a Citizen Collection Station, or at the Greater El Paso Landfill. The City accepts these used electronics:

Televisions
Cameras
Radios and portable music players, such as CD players and iPods
Fax machines
Cell phones
Home and business telephones
VCR and DVD players
Computers and computer accessories, such as monitors, keyboards, scanners, printers, photo copiers and webcams.
Other electronic consumer goods

They do not accept:

Used commercial electronics
Materials that are leaking
