Celebrate Segundo Barrio With Health Fair and Food Giveaway This Weekend

This weekend Molina Healthcare is partnering up with local organizations to provide food and free health screenings at the Celebre Segundo Barrio (Celebrate Segundo Barrio) event.

It’s no secret that Segundo Barrio is one of the poorest sections of El Paso – but this weekend organizations such as Molina Healthcare, Border Patrol Explorers, Lydia Patterson Institute, El Paso Chihuahuas and MCNA Dental are making a difference by coming together to assist people of this community with much needed food and health screenings.

The all day event which continues until 1 a.m. is free and open to the public and will provide 400 bags of food and water courtesy of El Pasoans Fighting Hunger from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (while supplies last).

Aside from providing food the event will also offer free health screenings but will also make available free mobile phones for those who qualify. This family friendly event will also feature Chico the Chihuahua from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
