Going green could possibly get you Neon Desert Tickets!

On April 17th, The Prospector will have a Earth Day contest for UTEP students at the Union Plaza. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. students will have a chance to win VIP tickets to the Neon Desert festival just for creating a poster that represents how UTEP is green.

Once you create an amazing poster, all you have to do is take a picture with the poster and a copy of The Prospector to be entered into the photo contest for a chance to win those VIP tickets. Participants can upload their Earth Day photos to designated social media sites in order to take part of this fun activity.

Even if you do not win VIP tickets, you will not go home empty handed! Participants will also have a chance at general admission Neon Desert Tickets, shirts and be given free snacks and bottled waters.

This event is promoting the special Earth Week issue of The Prospector! The Prospector is the official student newspaper of UTEP that circulates about 10,000 copies a week and is distributed around the campus twice a week.

Head out to the Union Plaza to trade out the blue and orange for green!
