It’s that time of the year when all of us humans take some time to appreciate our home planet Earth!

Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22nd all across the world. It’s a day where we show our support for environmental protection and where we learn more about our environment and how we can take care of it.

This year’s theme is “Invest in our planet.” Earth Day is celebrated in many different ways all across the world and for locals who want to celebrate in El Paso you can do just that at the El Paso Zoo.

Families are invited to The City of El Paso Environmental Services’ Earth Day Celebration that will be happening on Saturday, April 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the El Paso Zoo.

“The City of El Paso Environmental Services’ Earth Day Celebration is BIGGER, BETTER, and WILDER. Y’all don’t wanna miss this Party for the Planet,” read a post shared on the City of El Paso’s Facebook page.

Families can get $2 off of regular admission into the zoo if they visit the free educational and activity booths in the Zoo’s parking lot before they head into the zoo.

Aside from being able to enjoy all the animals and exhibits the El Paso Zoo has to offer, guests will also be able to enjoy live music, a recycling loteria game, a mascot dance-off, and so much more!
