This year, instead of heading to the mall, head to some local businesses to get some El Paso-themed Christmas gifts. You might have people on your Christmas list who used to live in El Paso but now live out of town, or maybe you have someone on your list who just moved to El Paso and are getting into the whole 915 vibe. No matter who you have on your Christmas list, something that reminds the of El Paso would make a great present. Here are a few places you might check out for that perfect El Paso Christmas present:

1. T-shirt shops - Because of the horrible massacre on August 3, t-shirt shops have been putting out El Paso Strong t-shirts, but most of the shops have other El Paso-centric shirts and sweatshirts for sale. Check out Proper Print Shop, Chuco Relic Central, or Big Frog Custom T-Shirts.

2. El Paso Museums - The El Paso Museum of Art, the El Paso Museum of History, and the International Museum of Art all have gift shops with some pretty cool gifts. The best thing about buying gifts from our local museums is that you get a super cool El Paso-themed present that benefits the museum.

3. El Paso Restaurants - A t-shirt from a local iconic restaurant like L&J Cafe or Chico's Tacos is a cool thing to get an out-of-town El Paso fan. Most local restaurants have t-shirts or other trinkets that would make great stocking stuffers.

4. Downtown Holiday Market - The Downtown Farmers Market Holiday Market will be November 23 from noon - 8 p.m. You can shop local vendors for a whole day and still have time to ship them to your family and friends before Christmas.

Shop local and have a Merry Christmas!
