After injuring his throwing thumb in Week 1 of 2022 NFL play... by Week 7 - Dak was ready to come back. And he wasn't taking any chances. Prescott came back to face a struggling Detroit Lions team at home, a team where he has an undefeated 3-0 record against. And now? 4-0, baby!

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys overcame early struggles to secure a 24-6 victory over the Lions. Detroit had 5 turnovers, which helped, but Prescott finished with 207 yards on 19-of-25 passing, and the defense was once again dominant.

His dance moves were on point, but how did his thumb feel? "It felt great," Prescott said of his thumb, via the team's official website. "I felt comfortable with everything. The thumb didn't bother me. It wasn't a thought in my head. I felt like, after a few throws, I was back into it."

Dak's last game played was Week 1 when the Cowboys hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His first touchdown pass of the year? It went to tight end Peyton Hendershot, and it happened on national tight ends day!

Dak Prescott said after the game that some of his throws into double or triple coverage today were partly because his thumb was feeling good and he was feeling confident: “Some of those throws were overconfident, and I need to guard against that.”
