Where to Get Free Flu Shot in El Paso, Dec. 8-14

Flu season is here, and with COVID-19 still very much in our community, the City of El Paso Department of Public Health is reminding residents of the importance of protecting their health against the flu.

The goal is to reduce the number of flu cases that may require hospitalization leaving hospital rooms available for those being treated for COVID and other major illnesses, as well as medical emergencies.

To make sure as many El Pasoans as possible get vaccinated, free flu shots are being offered at numerous locations city-wide. The shots are available on a drive-thru and walk-in basis, and are accessible to anyone 6 months of age and older.

If you're an essential worker, 65 years of age and older, or have chronic medical conditions health officials highly recommend a flu shot before we enter the critical flu period as it takes approximately 2 weeks after receiving the vaccine for the body to develop antibodies against the flu.
