You've probably heard El Paso County is seeing a ridiculous surge in positive virus cases. The county continues to set record highs for active COVID-19 cases, and hospitalizations are at an all-time high.

In response to both the alarming rise in new cases and to help meet the recent high demand for COVID tests, a handful of new testing sites have been opened. No-cost testing is available to any resident of El Paso County 5 years or older -- with or without symptoms. No appointment is needed.

Nasal swab tests are being administered by the state contractor, HONU, and by the Texas Military Department Mobile Testing Team.
