Ok, I gotta tell you, I'm not so sure that I'm ready to be around a bunch of people unmasked but I'm a lot more comfortable with that notion if it's outside. This weekend you have the chance to do something that so many El Pasoans used to love to do pre-pandemic. You can catch a movie on the lawn at the Fountains at Farah again just like back in the good old days.

The Fountains at Farah has really become a meeting place for El Pasoans. Even when there isn't an event being held like Movie Night On The Lawn, there are so many people who bring blankets or even lawn chairs in the evening and just hang out to enjoy the El Paso evening. There is plenty of room for the little ones to run around and play and you can go sit out after a meal at one of the restaurants that line the bottom level of the Fountains.

This weekend you'll want to head over the Fountains for a free screening of The Lion King. This is the "live action" version with Beyonce as Nala, Donald Glover as Young Simba, and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. Seating is limited so if you want to grab a space you'll probably need to get there a little early.

The movie begins at 7:30 and seating will not be provided so make sure you bring a blanket or lawn chair. Because this is summer in El Paso you never know when a stray wind or rain storm might pop up so you might want to check on the Fountain's event page by clicking here in case of a possible cancellation.
