Walking Tour Will Look at Historic Trost Buildings in Downtown El Paso

Downtown El Paso has a very distinct look because Henry C. Trost designed so many of the buildings. The Trost Societyis going to pay tribute to the man and his legend with a tour of his buildings.

Trost's Downtown - A Guided Architectural Tour of Downtown El Paso will begin in the lobby of the Camino Real Hotel and end with a walk-through of Trost's Alhambra Theater, better known to local live music lovers as Tricky Falls. Hello Day Café will be open so you can grab a bite to eat, or if you would rather indulge in some adult beverages, Bowie Feathers will be offering discounted drinks.

The Trost legacy can be seen every day in downtown El Paso, and sadly, some of his best known buildings are endangered. His buildings were built to last, and seeing them up close will take your breath away. Getting to know these works of art will hopefully get all El Pasoans motivated to save these treasures for generations to come.
