Wahlburgers Opens First New Mexico Location a Short Drive From El Paso

There’s a new burger place to put on your must-eat list next time you make a road trip to Ruidoso. Wahlburgers has opened at Inn of the Mountain Gods.

The famous restaurant franchise, founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and Chef Paul Wahlberg, is a first for New Mexico and one of a handful of new dining options at The Market at the Mountain.

The Market food court has taken over the space Gathering of the Nations Buffet once occupied in the resort.

The Wahlberg Family

Mark, the most famous of the brothers, is the A-list actor formally known as Marky Mark. He and the Funky Bunch took radio by storm in 1991 with their number one hit “Good Vibrations.”

Brother Donnie is a founding member of New Kids on the Block and an actor himself. He’s married to Jenny McCarthy who is currently one of he judges on The Masked Singer.

Paul is the oldest of the three brothers and the only one with professional culinary experience. He’s what you call a “celebrity chef”.

The food court version offers casino-goers and burger-lovers “the brand’s most popular items including the brothers’ favorite burgers, Jenn’s Chicken Sandwich, fresh entree salads and house made chili,” per a post on the Inn’s Facebook.

Other Dining Options at The Market

Samurai Sam's Teriyaki Grill is another of the new additions to The Market at the Mountain and, like Walhburers, the first New Mexico location.

The Arizona-based fast-food place is known for its “healthy” Japanese-inspired cuisine. Menu items include rice and yakisoba bowls, wraps, salads, and grilled egg rolls.

Sbarro, Warshield Tacos, Carrizo Canyon Coffee House, and Scout’s Corner Bar have also taken up residence in the new food court.
