We all know that cameras can be deceiving. Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words but sometimes the words are not telling the whole story.

For example, back in 2008 I was at the Nelson Mandela concert in Hyde Park, London. Many musicians played to honor the civil rights leader who recently passed away. It was Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. I was standing near the stage when the band Simple Minds hit the stage.

When Nelson Mandela passed away recently, I decided to look up video of that great day. What I found really shocked me! I found regular video footage that a person near me took and compared it with the official MTV Europe coverage of the event.

What people saw at home was vastly different from what I saw. See it for your self.

Notice the sky in the videos. This performance took place around 8pm. Apparently London summer skies don't go dark until much later. I got to my hotel at midnight and I could still see light in the sky. Weird!!

This is what I saw.

People watching on TV saw this..
