Apparently, Southwest Airlines is now kicking Texans off their planes for being too fat.

According to reports, 34-year-old Texas resident Matthew Harper was all set to fly from Chicago to Denver when a representative for the airline ordered him to leave his seat and exit the plane.

Harper, who claims to weigh around 340 pounds, says that the airline embarrassed and made him “feel like a criminal” while leading him off the aircraft - parading him in front of the other passengers like a rabid circus animal.

A representative from the airline is said to have interrogated Harper in regards to the airline’s “customer size policy,” and asked him whether he was aware that he was requited to purchase additional seating because of his weight.

Even though Harper says he was conscious of the airline’s policy, he ventured everything would be acceptable since there was an empty seat in between him and his brother.

After a lot embarrassment, Harper was finally allowed to board his fight, but he says the humiliation was immense. “I’m 34 years old and I’ve never been humiliated like this in my life,’ said Harper. “I mean, when I got back on the plane, only thing I could do was put my head down.”

Incidentally, the airline offered Harper $100 for his troubles, but he flat out refused. Instead, he plans to take  legal action.
