Taste of El Paso returns to downtown El Paso for one night only featuring local restaurants including Pelican’s Steak & Seafood on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

This year guests will be enjoying 2 appetizers, 2 dessert stations, 10 sampling tickets to the Island Bar and 8 main course samples from various restaurants including Pelican’s Steak and Seafood.

I had a chance to preview what Pelican’s Steak & Seafood will be serving up at Taste of El Paso and it begins with their delicious and creamy Clam Chowder soup which is made from scratch every single morning. I also had a chance to try their Blackened Salmon with Cajun seasons cooked to perfection, lightly crispy on the outside all the while keeping the inside of the fish moist enough where it’s silky and you can taste the fatty goodness of the salmon. In other words, these guys know how to cook a scrumptious fish dish. Accompanying the salmon is a bed of rice pilaf and spring vegetables mixed in along with a side of clarified butter and lemon wedges.
