SZA Releases The Weekend Music Video

I’m excited to see the release of this slinky song off of the album CTRL by SZA and it’s visual as a single. SZA is featured in the video simply singing and the sex appeal is one hundred compared to other visuals she’s given us. She was in lingerie in the video for Love Galore featuring Travis Scott but the theme was slightly morbid in that at the end of the video for Love Galore SZA takes her revenge on her boyfriend. The Weekend music video reminds me of early 90’s music videos where popstars would be wearing jeans and a tank top but the sexiest was never lost from the visual. She’s featured in a room that looks like a studio, a few partitions are set up and shes simply singing with a few cute dance moves from the soulful songstress. Look out for a Calvin Harris remix of the tune too! SZA has a lot to celebrate in that Time named her album CTRL the best album of 2017 and in this new music video that she just dropped you can see her effortlessly coming into her own, not only as a popstar but as the public figure with the recognition of the country as the voice that’s going to save R&B for the next few years to come.
