In response to the recent surge in positive coronavirus cases and to help meet the current high demand for testing, six new drive-thru mega sites are among the locations El Pasoans get can a free COVID-19 test administered this week.

Local health authorities are encouraging everyone to get tested, whether showing symptoms or not. Officials say it not only helps expose hotspots and track outbreaks, but 1 in 4 carriers do not show symptoms of being positive and therefore unknowingly contribute to community spread.
