Los Angeles’ Popular Silverlake Ramen Coming to El Paso
Hey Ramen Heads, check this out: there's going to be a new spot to score noodles and broth in El Paso soon.
Silverlake Ramen, an award-winning L.A. based ramen restaurant with numerous locations throughout California, will be serving up bowls on the west side by the end of the year.
The ramen and noodle eatery has snagged a space at West Towne Marketplace and will open what shopping center officials say is the first Silverlake Ramen restaurant in Texas. Not Dallas, not Austin or Houston or San Antonio, right here in El Paso. Because we’re a hidden gem, that’s why!
According to West Towne officials, the vegan-friendly restaurant is “currently in design of the space” so slurping your way through lunch there is a bit of a ways off. Right now it's projected to open sometime this fall.
Named for the Los Angeles neighborhood where it opened the first location in 2012, Silverlake is many a Californian’s favorite place for “authentic and out-of-the-box ramen dishes” created with “made-from-scratch ingredients,” as well as rice bowls and gyoza.
Silverlake Ramen joins a growing number of local places noodle fans love to drop in on to get their broth on. Some of the more popular nood joints around town include Gom Ramen on Hunter and Kaedama near UTEP, which offer up traditional ramen flavors, and El Cuartito Ramen on Montecillo, which puts a bit of a border town spin to theirs.
