Watch ‘Secret Life of Pets’ at Free Movie Night on the Texas Tech El Paso Lawn
Spend the next two Friday evenings watching movies under the stars on the campus of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. The free movie series Red Raider Reels continues this Friday, September 27, with a free showing of The Secret Life of Pets.
The animated flick stars Louis C.K. as a dog who gets in a fight with the new dog his owner rescued from the pound played by Eric Stonestreet of Modern Family fame.
They end up getting picked up by Animal Control and have to work together to find their way back home. Kevin Hart voices Snowball, a rabbit who breaks them out of the animal control truck, and Dana Carvey is an old dog on hind-wheels leading all the other pets in the building on a search for their missing friends.
For the next two Friday evenings, a different family-friendly flick will be screened on the lawn located between the Medical Education and Medical Science buildings beginning at 7 p.m., weather permitting. Bring your own blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and drinks — except for alcohol, which is a no-no. Glass containers and pets are not allowed either.
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is located at 5001 El Paso Dr., next to UMC. Free parking available at the lot east of the lawn.
