The El Paso Zoological Society will be holding and over the edge adventure to help raise money in the heart of Downtown El Paso next year.

Participants will be able to rappel twelve stories down from the top of the Anson Mills Building on Feb. 20, 2016, to support the El Paso Zoo. This once-in-a-lifetime rappelling experience will be extended to 100 El Paso participants, or ‘edgers’, who can rappel by fundraising a minimum of $1,000 for wildlife care, education and conservation efforts at the Zoo.

The kickoff party will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at the El Paso Community Foundation Room at 333 N. Oregon St.

Registration is now open at epzooovertheedge.com. Over the Edge is responsible for all technical aspects of the event, including the insurance, professional staff, and rappelling equipment. There is a $50 registration fee, which will be applied toward the $1,000 fundraising minimum. Edgers must be 18 years old on or before Feb. 21, 2016. It is recommended edgers are between 100 – 300 pounds for the best rappel experience. Accommodations can be made for special needs participants.
