Online Petition Urges For Local Groomer To Be Shut Down

These stories are always heartbreaking to hear and to tell, but one El Paso family is hoping that their tragic story can help others when it comes to choosing the right groomers for their pets.

According to a Facebook post shared by Monica Monarrez, her family dog Bevo crossed the rainbow bridge after what they believe was wrong-doing by an east El Paso groomer, The Crazzy Groomers.

Bevo was dropped off at The Crazzy Groomers with his two brothers at approximately 2:56 pm, according to the Facebook post. Two hours later a family member received a call from Bevo’s vet, which is located next door to Crazzy Groomers. The vet informed the family member that Bevo had died.

According to the vet’s assessment and X-rays, Bevo’s lungs were full of fluid and his body had shut down. After seeing video footage of Bevo while getting groomed, the family believes that the groomers were at fault for Bevo’s death. They have filed a police report with the El Paso Sheriff’s Office.

According to the family’s Facebook post, Bevo was a very gentle dog and never a hassle.

Family and Friends Gather For Peaceful Protest:

The post has been shared over 400 times and just this past weekend family and friends held a peaceful protest outside of The Crazy Groomers in support of Bevo. Locals wore shirts and held signs that read “#JusticeForBevo.”

After sharing their tragic experience, Monarrez and her family went on to say that other victims had shared with them their negative experiences with the local groomer.

An online petition to shut down the local groomer has been started by the family and as of now, over 2,000 people have signed the petition.

Crazzy Groomers has yet to respond to these allegations and no further details on the police report have been provided.
