Local officials made sure to highlight some of the financial assistance programs available to small businesses and non-profit organizations during today’s press conference updating residents on the current COVID situation in the El Paso area.

It’s no secret that businesses have been going through struggles as they attempt to stay afloat during a pandemic that has directly led to establishments having to close their doors (hopefully only temporarily) or operate at less than full capacity levels.  This is in addition to El Pasoans being more selective as to where or even if to go out at all which in turn leads to less money circulating through the local economy.

epbusinessstrong.org provides information on how businesses in the area can take measures to reduce risks for their employees and customers, where to find personal protective equipment (PPE), what business owners need to know regarding COVID-19 testing, and even how to source needed materials locally.

Clicking on the Financial Assistance tab will take business owners to a page to additional information on available resources such as the People Fund, Project Vida, and the Lift Fun which can provide grants if certain criteria are met.  It’ll also guide users to programs such as EP Rent Help an the El Paso Chamber which may also be able to aid small businesses in El Paso.

If you know of any business owners that might need some additional help to stay solvent, point them towards epbusinessstrong.org.  It could end up making all the difference in the world to them.
