New Kern Place Eatery Offering Amazing Bites

If you are in the mood for a delicious Philly Cheese Steak sandwich or perhaps a big burrito for breakfast, look no further than Campus King!

Nestled in the Rudolph Plaza shopping center in the Kern Place area, Campus King is offering amazing eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The décor has a bit of hipster feel to it, but no so much that it comes off as pretentious. It's very clean including the bathrooms, which is a big plus in my book and the staff was super friendly even before we walked in completely through the door and then gave us a run down of their menu. They serve breakfast, lunch and diner and carry a few domestic and craft beers.

Campus King offers up breakfast with their Big Ass Burritos that will run you about $4.50. The name says it all, a big burrito filled with 3 eggs, choice of beef, chicken, chorizo, sausage, or bacon and then you can fill it with veggies and/or potatoes. It’s a breakfast bomb that will surely satisfy.

For lunch you can fill up on your choice of their signature Philly Cheese Steaks, everything from the classic version to building your own or the chuco version, which was what my friend ordered.

They also offer burgers and salads and I opted for their seared tuna burger with teriyaki sauce and wasabi mayo.

I was pleasantly surprised at how moist and thick the actual tuna steak was. The burger was big and very filling albeit a little messy; it was worth every single napkin I used.

From talking with our waiter, they were all also looking to start serving pancakes and hash browns on Saturdays as well.

Campus King was well worth our trip. Give it try if you’re in the neighborhood!
