Movies on the Lawn to Show ‘Selena’ Friday
Movies on the Lawn gets underway this Friday with a free showing of Selena, the movie that made Jennifer Lopez a household name.
The biopic, as any card carrying Latino should know, tells the story of the life (and death) of beloved Tejano music legend Selena Quintanilla.
Showtime is approximately 8:30 p.m., but you'll want to get there early enough to find a good spot on the Centennial Plaza lawn.
The movie will be preceded by a playlist of Selena's music event attendees can bidi bidi bom bom to, according to a post on the UTEP Office of Student Life Facebook.
Movies on the Lawn is free and open to the public -- you don't have to be a UTEP student to attend.
